Legacy Information
Are you a legacy?
A legacy is a potential new member who is the sister, daughter, or granddaughter of an alumnae sorority member. Being a legacy does NOT guarantee membership into a sorority. Some chapters may consider other relations as well such as aunt, cousin, or step/half family.
Important to note: if you are a legacy, you do have the option of marking that you are one on your registration form. Marking that you are a legacy or being a legacy does not guarantee membership into a sorority. If you are a legacy and did mark it on your form only the chapter you are a legacy of will see that. Example: If you are a legacy of ABC, only chapter ABC will see that you are a legacy of ABC. Chapter XYZ will not see that you are a legacy nor will they see that you are a legacy of ABC.
If you would like to let the chapter know that you are a legacy, please visit their website listed below to fill out any needed paper work. Some chapters require forms to be considered a legacy while others are optional. If you have any questions, please email greeklife@eku.edu.
